8. The Introduction Of New Playable Races

The roster of playable heroes in The Elder Scrolls series has been fairly stagnant for quite some time now. The usual races have been staples of the franchise, with the same bunch still being available in the most recent title, The Elder Scrolls Online.

Quite clearly Bethesda have a"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" ideology, but there's nevertheless plenty of speculation surrounding a shake-up in the future. Many current Elder Scrolls forums are full of requests for new races, with Elder Scrolls' Wikiaforums suggesting Akavir or Dwemer would be worth introducing.

It's also worth remembering howSkyrim built on the series' previous conventions forWerewolves and Vampires, and there's a feeling that these types could be employed more readily at the beginning of a new game,as a separate entity.

Can you imagine starting TES asa Werewolf or Vampire, and experience a full playthrough with the perks and pitfalls that that would bring?
