The Elder Scrolls VI: 6 Improvements It Must Make On Skyrim

4. Better Artificial Intelligence

skyrimdragur The artificial intelligence (AI) in Skyrim was just a little bit predictable. If you wandered into a crypt, you just knew that the Draugr lying down in his tomb or stood up against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest was going to jump to life and attack you, much like you knew the Riekling's in the Dragonborn DLC were hiding underneath barrels just waiting to jump out and "surprise you". Likewise, you knew Dragon Priests would burst out of their sarcophagus's the second you got near them and attack. There were just too many triggers when it came to enemy combat and the AI were far too predictable, which at times made for lack of tension. The attack patterns of Dragons were always the same, too - swoop in the air in a circle, land, breath fire, swoop in the air in a circle, land, breath fire, rinse and repeat. Boring!
