5. No More Immortal NPC's!
Immortal NPC's, like M'aiq the Liar (above) really were a bane to deal with in Skyrim, especially if you happened to get on their bad side and they decided to attack you, meaning you've have an invincible enemy chasing you down until you managed to flee or temporarily turn them into a block of ice. Having invincible characters wandering around made Skyrim feel just a little bit fake, plastic and consequence-less at times and while I can appreciate the fact that certain characters DO need to be immortal so that you can get main quest lines from them later in the game, shopkeepers shouldn't be imperishable simply because they can give you some minor fetch-quest or snippet of a rumour that you'd find out through adventuring anyway. Immortal NPC's were particularly tiresome when it came to choosing between the Imperials and the Stormcloacks. If you joined the latter and happened upon an Imperial camp, their leader would be invincible because Bethesda had programmed them as a potential quest giver even if they no longer had any bearing or importance to the story after you had made your decision to join the opposite faction.
