Love it or hate it, The Last of Us Part II recently became the most awarded game franchise of all time. This accolade, and the recent casting for the TV show of Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Joel and Ellie - might tempt you back into post-apocalyptic Seattle for another round with the Rat King.

With only a rumour of a PS5 patch in the works, and no planned DLC for the game, now is as good a time as any to relive the beautifully devastating world of TLOU. Or, maybe you want to give the game another chance to impress you as much as it did critics.

Thankfully, however you feel about the spoiler leaks and ending controversy doesn’t affect the incredible attention to detail found within the game, evident in all the optional locations that offer missable weapons, easter eggs, resources, dialogue, and even an additional cutscene.

While the game mostly follows a linear narrative, certain areas are still a little tricky to spot, especially when playing as Ellie in downtown Seattle. You might have found some of these locations, but chances are there's a good handful you're yet to explore.

10. Manny’s “Sex Den”

"My man, my lover. When I'm with you, the world slips away. I want to feel the slippery heat of our tongues touching again..."

Yeesh, it seems Manny sure does leave a lasting impression. You can read more of this tantalising love letter while playing as Abby on Day 1 during the mission "Hostile Territory".

Near the beginning of the level you will follow Manny down a metal staircase and into a room with a hole in the floor. Don't drop down, but go in the bedroom opposite to where you came in. Check the drawer near the bed to pick up the letter and hear Abby's horrified expression when she realises who the letter is about. Manny will soon snatch the letter from Abby, prompting her to ask, "this is your sex den?".

This totally missable scene is a funny window into Abby and Manny's friendship, and gives both characters a small scene to get their personalities and humour across to the player.
