The Last Of Us 2: Everything We Know So Far
1. It's 50%-60% Done, As Of December 2017
Since Naughty Dog admitted that the game was very early in development when they unleashed the first trailer for The Last of Us Part II, it's been difficult for fans to get a proper grasp on when they'll actually be able to play the game themselves. After all, the developers were hard at work until well into 2017 creating the standalone Uncharted DLC, Lost Legacy, only shifting into full production on TLOU once that shipped.
However, Neil Druckmann provided a significant update on the game's production last December, claiming that it was anywhere between 50% and 60% complete. Obviously, it's been almost 6 months since then, which means that the sequel's release date could be closer than anyone expected.
It's already been confirmed that the title is going to receive a proper unveiling - hopefully with a substantial gameplay reveal - at this year's E3, and a concrete release date could follow shortly thereafter.
