The Last Of Us 3: 10 Things We DON'T Want To See
3. A Story That Doesn't Know When To End
Partially linked to the constant time jumps discussed earlier, many players felt that the ending felt almost tacked on and that maybe the game should have ended at the farm with Ellie and Dina.
The best way to look at this game is how many saw Game of Thrones.
Hours upon hours of world-building and character building leading to the epic climax but, whilst this was certainly the ending that they always intended, it certainly felt like the writers rushed to get there.
Whilst we can forgive players for believing that Ellie and JJ sat on the tractor gazing off onto the horizon in a drawn-out shot to be the ending, we were then thrown straight into Santa Barbara with a brand new enemy group named the Rattlers for the final showdown with Abby.
This huge leap, both in time and distance, felt like it could have been the basis of the next game, or a brand new DLC. Instead, it was crammed into an additional couple of hours.
