The scene where Abby is set to be hung and gutted or when Ellie is impaled by a tree branch and suffers severe blood loss - it makes you genuinely fear for your life; a concept lost in the modern video game landscape of constant respawning.
In an article full of wishing many aspects of Last of Us 2 away, here's one I hope remains intact. It is particularly frustrating when companies adhere to a small minority's calls for violence to be toned down in creative media, and Naughty Dog can more than back up the viscera with scriptwriting and detailed world-building.
