The Legend Of Zelda: 10 Best Intro Dungeons
8. Breath Of The Wild: The Great Plateau
While Breath Of The Wild's Great Plateau is not technically a dungeon, it operates in much the same way as one, easing the player into new mechanics introduced in the game before setting them free to explore a wider world, rewarding them with new items in the process.
After all, the Great Plateau contains four shrines, the mini dungeon puzzle rooms that run throughout the game. These introductory shrines teach players how to find and mark them on the map, and how to use the all-new runes mechanic to solve puzzles contained in these proto-dungeons.
Like the best introductory dungeons, the Great Plateau allows players to get used to the subtleties of the game without encountering any real danger. It scores additional points for its exhilarating design and integration of classic Zelda locations (such as Ocarina of Time's Temple of Time) within its great expanse.
