The Legend Of Zelda: 10 Most Disappointing Boss Battles

4. Moldorm - A Link To The Past

Gyorg Legend of Zelda

Moldorm has appeared in several games but his first incarnation in A Link to the Past is the most frustrating by far. For the boss fight, this giant worm nips around the room at top speed while the player tries to hit his tail-tip.

If you whack any other part of him, you'll be knocked around like a pinball, which can cause you to fall into the gaping hole in the room's centre. Instead of simply reappearing on the platform, you will land in a different room and have to make your way back to Moldorm's lair.

The problem with this is that Moldorm's health resets EVERY TIME he knocks you into the pit! After you fall out of the arena for the tenth time, you can't decide whether to break your controller or tear your hair out.

Annoyingly, this giant creepy-crawly gets faster in the closing moments of the fight, making it harder to hit him and more likely he'll knock you off. There's nothing more frustrating than when the fight resets when you know you were seconds away from victory.
