The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD - 6 Small Changes Worth Knowing
3. Amiibo Extras
What's the change? Nintendo have added amiibo support for various quirks. Using some like Zelda or Sheik can restore hearts whilst others like Link or Toon Link can refill quivers full of arrows. Using Ganondorf on your gamepad will cause link to take quadruple(!) the damage. The showcase piece released with the game, the Wolf Link amiibo, actually gives players access to the 'Cave of Shadows'. Not quite a new dungeon or huge variation from its original namesake, the Cave of Ordeals, instead this new cave features forty levels worth of enemies and beating it rewards you with a rupee wallet capable of holding 9999 rupees. Why? Because amiibo sell like hotcakes. In all seriousness, for hardcore fans it's certainly worth a look. The challenge is a welcome one because modern Zelda games are perceived as being consistently too easy, but as a system-selling mechanic, amiibo support is still in its infancy. It's good to see Nintendo offering what amounts to an additional level, but it's not the massive add-on it could have been.
