4. The Weapons
The first time you get your hands on a thermite rifle or arc gun, you'll never forget it. It's the weapons of The Order: 1886 that really set it aside from the 'generic shooter' style and pace of gameplay. There's a perfect balance of straightforward pistol / rifle / grenade and Tesla's crazy Q Branch inventions. You often find that if you're having no luck with the traditional approach, you might fare much better with something that shoots lightning or allows you to surround your enemies with a chemical before igniting it, leaving nothing but a charred pair of shoes where they were stood. It's also really cool that certain situations call for the usage of certain weaponry - ie. In the middle of a standoff near the very start of the game, the only way to eradicate the rebel forces in the area without taking heavy damage is to fire a thermite round into a distillery - triggering a massive explosion, which takes out the rebels and allows you to regroup with the other knights.
