The Witcher 3: 10 Best Secret Quests EVERYONE Missed

Throughout your exploration of the diverse and detailed world of this award-winning game, you’ll likely stumble across many treasure hunting quests where, after finding a clue and a key, you’ll need to track down a hidden chest, landing you some fancy loot as a reward.

Many of these quests will be uncovered organically as you make your way through the game, but some will require you to go off the beaten path. And in the case of X Marks The Spot, you’ll need to do some serious exploring.

While there’s no specific conditions needed to activate the quest, actually finding it is the hard part since it begins in a small, unmarked hut on Aard Skellige. If you want to get there, you’ll want to head southeast of Blandare where the hut can be found just east of the lake.

Entering the hut, you’ll come across a skeleton. Examine it to get your hands on a map and a key before fighting a wraith that’ll appear. Then all that needs to be done is to head to the treasure's location on your map to see what the skeleton was hiding.
