One of the standout characters in the early part of the main game has to be the Bloody Baron. Over the course of his time in the main quests we learn a lot about this flawed ruler, and Return to Crookback Bog offers us a chance at grabbing some closure around his life. Geralt leads the Baron and his men through the swamp to the Crones' hut to see what had become of the man's wife.

This quest demonstrates how even a secondary quest in the game can have far-reaching consequences. There are a number of ways in which the events can start, play out, and end, depending on various actions and choices that the player takes. Amongst all this there's also a spectacular battle with a fiend and return of everyone's favourite godling, Johnny.
