The Witcher 3: 10 Best Side Quests You Must Complete
6. The Secret Life Of Count Romilly (Hearts Of Stone)
It may be a basic Treasure Hunt quest, but the Secret Life of Count Romilly sends Geralt into one of the game's most intriguing and spooky locations. Count Romilly's castle is surrounded by an eerie wood and the atmosphere once you're inside the ruins gets even more haunting.
Count Romilly's notes are guarded by an Ancient Leshen. While Igni is obviously a useful tool against the woodland creature, its great size and unpredictable movements make it a seriously dangerous foe. There are few of these that can be found in the wilds, so you may find you are short of practice going into this battle.
Once you do manage to defeat the creature, Count Romilly's notes confirm he believed Anastasia von Bourmann had been marked by the Leshen and that he treated her awfully as a result. Later, the secrets continue to be uncovered as Geralt moves underground and discovers the true source of the Count's great wealth.
This whole quest plays out with a haunting tone that'll constantly keep you on edge, one that's completely at odds with our next entry...
