The Witcher 3: 10 Hardest Boss Battles You MUST Find
1. Chort
Chort exists solely for one reason. To f**k up your day in every way, shape and form imaginable.
Originally not in the base game, Chort was added by CD Projekt RED in an update entitled "the Bovine Defence Force," aimed at "disouraging" players who'd found a way to infinitely farm xp from the cows in White Orchard.
And dear oh dear, did Chort take to his job enthusiastically.
If you even think about damaging a White Orchard cow, Chort will systematically hunt you to the ends of the earth in an unending quest for beef themed vengeance.
And as a giant Fiend without a level cap, Chort isn't necessarily designed to be beaten. Indeed, given the fact that he can appear as a level 100 monster, there are few players who can.
But it is possible, and the fight is a good test of your skills if you're reeeeaaaally looking for a challenge. His moveset isn't anything different outside any other Fiend, and he's quite vulnerable to poison (though of course, this is relative). Having said that, most of his attacks will kill Geralt outright, and even at the highest levels it can take a good few hits before Chort falls.
Yet it can be done. So go ahead, hero. Kill. That. Cow.
