Finding a bug in your game is never a great feeling. Sometimes they are merely irritating, at other times downright game-breaking. Unfortunately, the Witcher series is no exception to the trend.

The Witcher 3 was originally scheduled for release in February 2015. However, during playtesting in December 2014, the development team came across around 5,000 bugs present in the game, partially due to points of interest being added for the open-world elements. As such, a February release was deemed impossible, and production was pushed back.

Understandably, these pushbacks were met with dismay from the fanbase. Looking back on them now, however, after the game has received so much acclaim, it is lucky that the release was pushed back to May 2015. Without those last minute fixes, the bug-ridden Witcher 3 could have been a haven for arachnomorphs.
