The Witcher 3: 10 Ways You’re Playing It Wrong

5. Go To Skellige As Soon As Possible

Another subversion of expectations when it comes to plundering ahead into higher-level territory - you don't need to hold off on grabbing a boat or fast travelling across to the Western isles of Skellige. Instead, therein are some of the best quests you'll find, more satisfying bandit camps to carve up - and loads of treasure out in the sea to gather up. Skellige's vast oceans hold more question marks and scattered islands full of things to discover than the other regions combined, and providing you're deft with a crossbow to take out the surrounding Harpies or other creatures that'll latch onto your vessel, it's a far more consistently rewarding place to explore. To throw a cherry on top, some of the best story quests come alongside this part of the world, as it's the first time Geralt and Yennefer get to spend some quality time together - the conversation options and fallout within reflecting what you've been up to beforehand.
