The Witcher 3: 12 Secret Weapons & Armour You Need To Find

Prepare yourself for the DLC with the Continent's best hidden gear.

It's official, The Witcher 3 is the best game of 2015 (read our Best Games Of 2015 for confirmation), and deservedly so. The stunning, sprawling game from CD Projekt RED is everything you could possibly want from an RPG - a fantastic story, weighty decisions for the player to make, and a vast world that continues to throw up surprises months after release. While fans have already mused at length about the great secrets of the mysterious Continent, there are still plenty of swords and armour out there that few players have found. After months of discussions and debates in the Witcher community about what the best weapons and armour in the game are (and where to find them), we now have a pretty good idea. Even if you've completed The Witcher 3, the recently released Hearts of Stone and upcoming Blood and Wine DLCs will ensure that you'll be adventuring with Geralt well into 2016, so you want to make sure you have the best equipment for any high-level job that might come your way.

12. Tor Lara

Tor Lara is a rare sword that might crop up in a random chest if you get lucky, but can also be found at a specific spot. The minimum level at which you can use it is 13, but it scales with you, so will be useful at whatever level you pick it up at. As well as delivering solid damage, it has a 2% chance to insta-kill your enemy, and 12% chance to cause burning. Specs 127 - 155 Slashing Damage (Lv. 13, scales with level) Vitality +75 Arad Sign intensity +16% Chance to cause burning + 12% Instant Kill +2% Location: Head over to Kaer Trolde, the northern region of the largest Skellige island. Some players have reported finding the sword randomly in one of the smuggler caches in the sea just north of the island, but between around the levels of 15 and 25, you can also find it in a chest in a cave at the below location.
