This sword scales with your level, though you'll need to be at least level 39 before you can get your hands on it. With a high critical hit chance and damage bonus, Aard boosts and a nasty poison damage-over-time bonus, the Viper Venomous Sword lives up to its menacing name. Stats Aard Sign intensity +25% Critical hit damage bonus +75% Critical hit chance +10% Chance to poison +15% Bonus experience from humans and nonhumans +5% Location (minor DLC story spoilers): The circumstances to find this one are pretty tricky. During the Whatsoever a Man Soweth quest - the final quest in the Hearts of Stone DLC - you need to make the decision to help Olgierd von Everec. Once you've done so, head over the wooden bridge, take the left-hand fork in the road after the gate, then fight off the Spectre that attacks you. Once you've beaten it, head up the broken stairs towards the red light, then remove the sword in the stone like you were Prince Arthur.
