The Witcher 3: 20 Characters Ranked From Worst To Best

1. Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon

The Witcher 3
CD Projekt RED

The girl at the centre of everything, the entire game wouldn't have worked if Ciri was exemplarily well written. Pursued by the Wild Hunt for her Elder Blood and the immense potential power that holds, Ciri is the main piece of the puzzle for its entirety.

But where many other games and stories have forced characters like this to appear as nothing more than useless damsels in distress, Ciri comes across as so much more. For a start, the decision to have her movements play out in sequences where the player takes control, demonstrate her strength of will, and prove she's not just some girl in need of saving.

As Geralt's ward, Ciri provides the Witcher with his most meaningful relationship of all. The interplay between them manifests in some truly touching moments that bring the events of the story back to a human level, all in amongst the monster-fighting and bandit-slaying.

While Yen may be Geralt's major love across the games, there's no denying Ciri remains the most important character in the Witcher's life. Ciri is the perfect foil to the grouchy hero, and this final adventure for the two is a wonderful tale.
