The Witcher 4: 10 Ways To Blow Wild Hunt Out Of The Water

7. A Wider Amount Of Melee & Ranged Weapons To Wield

Carrying on from adding new animations for single blade weapons, it'd be great to visit other Witcher schools or radical offshoot factions, to see which armaments they've conjured up. Yes, it somewhat breaks the mythology to have a Witcher use anything other than their dedicated blades, but in gameplay terms, we've had a whole trilogy of silver and steel swords, so why not change things up a bit?

Provided it's handled with respect and considered lore-backing, the options are there to converse with those who decided to stray from The Path, incorporating axes, throwing knives, twin daggers and more could only flesh out the feel of combat.

CDPR would have to be careful not to let players run amok with these options, lest they lose the sense of identity the franchise has in mastering a given weapon set, but as we saw with the brand new crossbow in Wild Hunt, there is a place for more weaponry in franchise.
