The Witcher TV Show: 5 Games Netflix Should Adapt Next
4. Bioshock
Top Casting Pick: Emily Blunt as Elizabeth
Always a man, always a lighthouse, always a city... this single line lends itself to the possibility of anthology style storytelling if Bioshock were to be adapted.
Even sticking with a traditional retelling, there’s some gloriously deep characters; our top casting pick Elizabeth, Booker, Comstock, Andrew Ryan... and that’s not even getting onto how creepy the Little Sisters and Big Daddies could be. Infinite’s ending was controversial for how it split the fan base, but there were other factors at play.
For one, Infinite had total focus on Booker, seeing as he was the main character. But a TV adaption could show us more detail on Elizabeth, Comstock and even the Lutece twins. There were also reports of content being cut as the game was rushed out, something which hopefully wouldn’t happen this time around. A TV show could showcase director Ken Levine’s true vision for Songbird. All that symbolism most players barely scratched the surface of could get much needed additional focus too.
The much applauded Burial at Sea DLC showed even more narrative potential, and they could even kindly take us all the way back to the origin of Rapture.
