These Video Game Final Boss Battles SUCK!

What time is it?

Time to once again bang on about how utterly brilliant the original Bioshock is! Huzzah!

All joking aside though while I usually sing this game's praises today I'm here to scream some insults at what is quite easily the worst boss of the entire series and yes I am including the absolute dog dick conflict with Lady Comstock in Bioshock Infinite, and that is the one and only Frank Fontaine.

Now up until this point I was absolutely in love with Franky boy over here, mainly due to that superb rug pull that was the "Would You Kindly" reveal and the setup that your trusted friend Atlas was actually Fontaine working the biggest con going.

With Rapture now under his control and the kill switch within your fleshy meat suit tripped, it looked like all he had to do was sit back and count his clams. However, he made one fatal mistake. He pissed us off.

Now on a rampage through the crumbling city, the hype train and our blood was steaming ahead as we fought tooth nail and bee to show Fontaine the meaning of pain.

However what we were met with was less an ocean-sized showdown and more a wet puddle of dribble as the battle with Fontaine drowns the pace of the game in wave after wave of goons with brief moments of stabbing him in the chest with a needle. To call this battle generic is a complete understatement, I mean look at him! this Tesco brand silver surfer outfit is probably the least memorable boss design I've ever seen!

It's less of a low point and more a Twenty Thousand League disappointment, throwing out all the originality of the story in favor of a bland wet dough-like duel that not even a duck would choke down.

Jules Gill hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
