These Video Game NPCs SUCK!

Even though the children from Skyrim might give you enough monstrous sass to be officially labeled as a sass-quatch, and while other NPCs might grate and annoy with endless whining for protection or by offering useless advice, there's actually something even worse, something that resides deep within the darkest levels of gaming hell, festering in the absolute stink.

I'm speaking of course about every single NPC who acts as a glorified roadblock to progression, and I mean that in a very literal sense, as there's nothing quite so infuriating as coming up against a guard, or lookout, or even a supposed ally that simply won't let you pass until you've completed a certain task or goal.

Listen, of the two of us, who's the adventurer of legend here? Is it you with your standard guard outfit and iron cutlass? or is it me, with my spikey protagonist hair, sword the length of a bus and is called "chosen one" by literally everyone? I'll let you have a moment to think about that while I ask again why I need to go collect Farmer Gubbins' prize pig before you'll move away from the !*$% ONLY EXIT TO THE !*$% TOWN.
