Titanfall: 12 Tips To Help You Survive Getting Owned Online

7. Sniper

At first glance it is very hard to see for what purpose the sniper rifle(s) exist in Titanfall; most maps are condensed battlefields with little to no room to manoeuvre. Unlike the sad, slow and lonely Recon class seen in Battlefield 4, the addition of sniping in Titanfall is very much an quick, intense and twitchy experience. As Alan Partridge once quipped in regards to Lazer Quest - seconds count. The best way to take advantage is to, as stated before, keep moving. You will get nowhere by simply sitting at the corner of the map awaiting a lumbering and aimless fool to wander into your sights, nobody ever really sits still for long enough in Titanfall for it to be possible. Much like the rest of the opposition, you have to move fast and stay in one spot for a limited amount of time. Even with a silencer equipped, once someone figures out where you are, they have both a jet pack and a Titan to take you out - you won't last long once someone is wise to your spot. If you want to sniper, get used to the way your pilot moves, your mad-dash ability to parkour your way out of trouble in order to line up a shot with quick aplomb will squarely place your fate in your own hands. Do not under any circumstances think that sticking to one position will aid you, things just move too fast for you to truly benefit.
