Titanfall 2: 10 Key Things It Needs To Get Right

4. Leaderboards Need To Be Present

A giant omission from Titanfall was the ability to see how you stacked up against friends and the world.

It was a multiplayer-only game that didn't feature leaderboards - a pain, and something that was truly missed, maybe not by all, but by a good majority. Not having the ability to talk some trash to friends because your W/L or K/D was better than theirs felt... wrong.

Also, not being able to quickly check the stats of the players in the pre-game lobby was a detriment as well. You didn't know who to look out for or who was a viable threat other than by their regen badge which still didn't mean much. Also it would have been awesome to know who had the highest stats globally. Who was in the air most over time from a Titan ejection? We may never know. Yes, it's true leaderboards are prone to have a lot of cheaters at the top, but the ability to see these numbers between friends would still be nice.

Even though Titanfall 2 will not be a multiplayer only game, the fans will still gravitate to the multiplayer more like they do in almost every single FPS at the moment. Being able to see how you stack up against friends, in even the oddest of categories, should be available.

Who ran along a wall the most, who has the most distance traveled in a Titan? Yes, a lot of casual players couldn't care less about these things, but there's still a good number of players out there who would like to know.
