Titanfall 2 Review - 6 Ups & 5 Downs
2. It's A Technical Marvel On Every Level
Arguably the game's biggest strength over both Battlefield 1 and Infinite Warfare is how well it plays. The controls are extremely intuitive and responsive, the UI is clean and tidy (BF1 falls down majorly here with its clumsy, slow menus), and the graphics are gorgeous and maintain a solid 60 FPS at almost all times on all platforms, thanks to use of dynamic resolutions.
It also sounds fantastic throughout and is basically proof of what AAA titles are capable of when given the right time and tools to develop a project.
That makes it all the more disappointing that the game isn't likely to be a hit, because the design, engineering and sheer craft behind it is absolutely remarkable.
