Tomb Raider: Ranking Every Game From Worst To Best

5. Tomb Raider II: Starring Lara Croft

Some things are just better the second time around, and such is the case here. In an effort to retrieve the mythical Dagger of Xian, Lara goes through China, Venice, Tibet and even a shipwreck in the depths of the ocean.

Each location drips with atmosphere, grandeur, and mystique that is sure to draw any player. And with a greater emphasis on combat, the addition of vehicle sections, wall climbing, and ziplining, it’s just how a Lara Croft adventure should be.

Not to mention, the unforgettable ending that is arguably the most iconic ending level in the series history: The Home, Sweet Home level where Lara, in her bathrobe at night, armed with nothing but a shotgun, must make one last attempt to stop the bad guys from claiming the dagger for their own as they attempt to break into Croft Manor.

After finally disposing of all the thugs, Lara ends up stopping any perverted players from seeing her step in the shower by saying “Don’t you think you’ve seen enough” and promptly shooting them down, literally. Bad ass, indeed.
