Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2: 8 Tips And Tricks To Win Online
The tips and tricks you need to win online in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2.
In early September, the Tony Hawk's franchise that we all love came back to our consoles with a bang.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2 has been a massive hit with both players and reviewers. A month after its release, the majority of skaters will have long completed most of the single player goals, but venturing into online multiplayer has endless possibilities.
For those new to the series or to the multiplayer sections of Tony Hawk's, online matches can be a very tricky environment. All of the 19 levels are playable online across the five modes on a rotating basis.
While single player sees players collecting items and completing various tasks, online is all about achieving high scores, often way in excess of the 'Sick' scores required in the normal levels.
Many gamers still playing multiplayer will be very good so if you are new to the series it can be daunting. However, with practice, you can compete and win.
Here are eight tips and tricks to help you get better at Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2's online multiplayer - and grind out those high scores.
8. Perfect Your Reverts And Manuals
When players first venture into the Tony Hawk's series, most will attempt to do one trick at a time. However, if you are looking to get Sick scores in the single player levels or win matches online, combos are key.
Combos in Tony Hawk's are stringing multiple tricks together, and will see your scores go through the roof. The easiest way to do this is by learning how to effectively use manuals and reverts, which theoretically allow your combo to last forever!
After completing any trick on or off an object, you can carry on your combo by performing a manual. Likewise, any time you get air off a quarter pipe you can land it with a revert followed by a manual to keep going.
Neither is straight forward at first, but once you are used to them both tricks will become second nature and you will be able to do them automatically.
Without these two tricks, high scores are near impossible to achieve, so learn how to do them and practice as much as you can.
