Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2 Remaster Review

Tony Hawks Pro Skater
Activision

We must speak about the elephant in the room, the fact that as with nearly every other Activision game of late, that this title does indeed contain a store which you can use money earned in the game to purchase new clothing and equipment.

While I love the fact that it appears nothing can be bought that directly affects gameplay, I'm always going to be on the back foot when it comes to these, especially seeing as Activision added real-world currency into games after review periods - like with Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled or Call Of Duty: World War II. My worry is that after a tonne of praise being levelled at the game, Activision might pull another change like this, but fingers crossed it won't happen.

Still, if I'm to judge the gameplay itself then it's utterly flawless.

If you loved the Tony Hawk's games from the past, this is an essential buy, and it's also highly recommended if you're new to the series. Its arcade twitch-reaction gameplay is easy to pick up, challenging to master and always, always fun in between.
