6. Dead Rising 2
Dead Rising proved to be a fantastic Dawn of the Dead style homage, featured great tongue-in-cheek moments, and enjoyable zombie slaying gameplay. Although not much has changed in Dead Rising 2, the subtle differences make this a much better game than its predeccessor. The sequel improved on the boss fights, there's more weapon customisation, much more zombie gore, and a greater sense of fun in general. Just what you want from a zombie game really.
5. The House of the Dead: Overkill
Whilst it would have been easy to include any of the previous The House of the Dead titles, Overkill won the place. Much more mature than the previous titles, Overkill contains endless gore, a constant tirade of obscenities, and plenty of references to the b-movie Grindhouse genre. Jokes are littered throughout, making this not only a gory zombie fest, but a hilarious one too.
