4. Ridiculous Character Customization
No, i'm not talking about physically. That may be there, I honestly can't attest to that. However I DO know that customization as far as play style is fairly drastic. You can completely change your role, your range, and your weapon choices and proficiency by distributing a few points differently. With each of the 4 classes having 3 very distinct skill trees with hugely varying skills, you will have plenty of toys to play with on every class, especially when you start playing with friends...
3. Get Social (Without the Restrictions!)
It is well known that Torchlight 2 will have a robust online side. You can jump on anytime, and drop in / drop out with up to 5 friends or strangers. As fantastic as that is, here is the best part. First, you don't have to be always online. There is no crazy DRM, no ridiculous login errors (or so we hope for launch). Second, and this is my favorite, you can play via LAN. Remember LAN parties? I for one can't wait to get some friends together in my basement, set up a couple tables covered in monitors, keyboards, and mice, and play all night like its 2002.
