UFC 4 Review: 6 Ups & 3 Downs

3. "Kimute" And Backyard Arenas

EA

It seems that UFC 4 marks the moment where EA finally decided to have a bit of fun with the barmy world of mixed martial arts.

Away from the more familiar and expected MGM Grand and even the new UFC Apex setting, EA have gifted us with two glorious new settings which come equipped with environment specific attire.

Taking clear inspiration from the Jean Claude Van Damme starring Bloodsport (1988), first we have the Kimute. With flaming torches lighting the action, your chosen fighters can go to war kitted out in aesthetically pleasing traditional gear to the sound of arcade-like punch and kick connections. It's as amazing as it sounds.

Then we have the Backyard setting, which will kit your chosen combatant out in jean-shorts and, when combined with the joyous Stand and Bang mode, proves to be a perfect battleground for those who want to state their case as the true KO king.

Both of these new arenas make the likes of the returning Stand and Bang and the fast and furious Knockout Mode that little bit more spectacular and just bloody entertaining.
