Strikerz hasn't yet provided a lot of information about what modes will feature in their new football game. Sports games traditionally let you play through seasons with your team or player. However, there has been a major switch in the last decade, with the focus now towards online matches.

In a Q & A session on Twitter, the official UFL game account confirmed that there will be one core game mode that will be online. This is expected to be a club-building mode in the style of Ultimate Team or MyClub. In both of these, the players collect real life superstars to build their perfect team, either by playing games or by purchases with real money.

If this is the type of mode Strikerz are going for, they will need to bring something different to the table than what we have already seen from the two main franchises. If they are planning on keeping the game fair for all, they must have another idea of how you will be able to obtain your favourite footballers.

While the developers didn't confirm what further modes there would be, they did announce there will be an offline mode that you can use to play against your friends. Hopefully, further modes online and offline will be added after launch if the game proves to be popular.
