9. Elena & Sully
Throughout Nathan Drake's time as a treasure hunter, the two most important people to him, both on and off the job, have been Victor Sullivan and Elena Fisher. One was his father figure, the other would become his wife, and it's safe to say he would have died long ago if it wasn't for these two.
Though both have been key pieces in the Uncharted story, they haven't actually spent a massive amount of time together. They were part of the same team when they met in Drake's Fortune, but Sully sat out the ride to Nepal, and in Yemen, he disappeared soon after meeting up with Elena.
However, the two worked together to save Nate when he was searching for Libertalia with Sam. With Sully's help, Elena found her husband on a remote island off King's Bay, and helped guide him to saving his brother.
Both characters are extremely talented fortune hunters, whether Elena would admit it or not, and their father-in-law, daughter-in-law relationship would work really well within the confines of a spin-off. Finding a story to bring them together without Nate may be difficult, but if the usual star of the show found himself or compromised or in need of rescue, as he was in Libertalia, Elena and Sully could come together again to save him.
Sully is certainly still a big part of Elena's life, as he is consistently beaten at backgammon by her daughter, and she even has a dog named Vicky, so coming together for an adventure wouldn't be out of the realms of possibility.
