Uncharted 4: 10 Awesome Fan Theories You Need To Know
2. Possible Supernatural Ties
Rumours are circulating that the fourth instalment may have a whole bunch of supernatural elements to it as well. Aside from the likelihood of pirate skeletons and graves being involved at some point, there are rumours that Drake may come across the famed pirate ship The Flying Dutchman at some stage in the game. The ship disappeared mysteriously, and was probably shipwrecked. Legend has it that it continues to haunt the Cape of Good Hope, a location that is seen during the trailer. Whether Drake will encounter the ghostly version of the ship is unknown, although it would fit in with the supernatural elements that were brought to the series in Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception. Most likely the game could see Drake having to dive to the shipwreck in order to retrieve something that will help him complete the 12 trials that was covered in an earlier point. How the infamous ship would feature into all of this is unknown, but the connection is certainly there to be developed. Some theories are suggesting that the game may involve hallucinations like those saw in Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception, which could of course lead to an imaginary confrontation with the famous ship and its ghostly inhabitants. Its difficult to imagine that the game wont feature some sort of focus on the dead given the areas already supernatural connections throughout history.
