10. Sully Gets More Time In The Spotlight
Nathan Drake's partner-in-crime since he was a young boy, Victor Sullivan (his friends call him Sully) hasn't really had much joy in the first three games. In Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, he was shot, presumed dead and subsequently omitted from a large chunk of the game. In Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, he voluntarily exits the adventure, citing his old age and fragile nature as reasons for not wanting to pursue a psychopathic war-criminal. Fair enough really. It wasn't until Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception that he really received his due, with the character featuring in a good portion of the game and influencing many pivotal moments. His romantic relationship with the main antagonist helped somewhat, as Naughty Dog dove into Sully's dodgy criminal past, revealing exactly how he and Nate met for the first time. Uncharted 4 should give us more of this. Uncharted is as much Sully's story as it is Nate's; Sully is the closest thing Nate has to a father, and the two have worked, lived and fought alongside each other for decades. A character like that is owed a proper send-off, and if this is indeed the last entry in the series, Victor Sullivan and his glorious moustache deserve a story arc fitting of such a faithful companion.
