Undertale: Every Main Character Ranked Worst To Best

There's one word that can describe Undertale, and it's passion. The creator Toby Fox had an intense passion for making this game. The fans matched that enthusiasm, and critics were also blown away by what it did for the indie gaming scene. All of that passion can be seen in Papyrus, the bombastic, over-the-top wannabe royal guard, who acts as your first foe in Snowdin, but soon becomes a friend.

You first meet Papyrus through his brother Sans (who we will get to later) as he informs you that Papyrus is desperate to capture a human, and you're encouraged to humour him. This leads to a hilarious round of awful puzzles as you come to learn that Papyrus isn't the brightest skeleton on the block and that he's not as deadly as his human capturing desires imply.

Eventually, if you choose to spare him during your fight, you'll get the chance to bond with him on a date and even take a look inside his room. His juvenile personality mixed with a wholesome self-confidence makes him incredibly likeable, and his hard work despite his evident struggles is admirable.
