The saw trap is appropriately named, because it looks like something that torture master Jigsaw would have come up with. And even though later in the game its revealed to be rigged, its a super tense moment the first time you play through it. About halfway through the game, having been knocked out by a mask wearing lunatic, Chris finds both Ashley and Josh in an outhouse, tied to a wall. Theres also a big saw blade in front of the pair of them, and it isnt just for show. Chris has to make a difficult decision does he save his best friend, or does he save his romantic interest? Regardless of who you pick, the blade will make its deadly way towards Josh. And although youre sure that its just a prank, that itll stop along the way and there will be a big reveal - eventually the saw reaches him and cleaves him violently in two, right through the stomach spilling blood and guts everywhere (mostly over Ashley). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZ7oyxJxBO4 Ashley and Chris reactions are just about what youd expect blubbering and retching all over the place, so its not a particularly nice scene to watch.
