By Season 2 Clem is going it alone, eventually meeting up with a new group of survivors with their own particular quirks, idiosyncrasies and tense relationships. One of those new survivors is Nick, a hot-headed young man whose aggressive nature masks a good heart. Or he's just an idiot, depending on your view of things. Regardless, he's the catalyst for the biggest twist in episode 2/7 (depending on how you count it) as he shoots a mysterious fella on a bridge who just wanted to help. Even worse, that mysterious fella is - was - the boyfriend of a member of the group that's holed up in a ski lodge and very kindly invites Clem and her new charges into their shelter. Walter, the member in question, discovers his now-dead squeeze's hunting knife amongst Nick's possessions and confronts Clem about it: do you risk alienating the whole group by siding with Nick, or let him take the fall for his mistake, risking Walter's wrath? This is one of those choices that doesn't seem huge at the time, but has major implications on what happens next.
