The Walking Dead Game: 10 Horrific Things The Developers Made Us Do (So Far)
4. David's Leg
If you think that last point was bad then what is to come is just plain brutal. David really didnt have a good run (if youll pardon the pun) did he? This opening scene to episode two of the first season pretty much set up some of the horrific scenarios that were to come. However when a character's opening line is AARGH! Get it off! its a fair guess that theyre not long for this universe; in fact it took quite a bit of googling to actually find out this characters name. To set the scene, Lee and Mark (poor old Mark) are exploring a forest area when they hear a loud scream, emanating from David who has become stuck in a bear trap, attracting walkers with every yelp. The player must decide whether to leave him trapped or attempt to free him from the trap, or as Lee put it Were going to have to cut you out. This is by far the most gruesome scene so far in the first season and it comes as a bit of a shock to the player considering it occurs in the opening five minutes of the episode. Whilst this scene was bad at least it wasnt happening to a character that we cared about or had been playing as - growing attached to for a whole season. No, surely Telltale would never do that, right?
