The Walking Dead Season 2: 5 Saddest Death Scenes So Far

3. Duck And Katjaa

Continuing along with Kenny as a loving father and husband, fuelled and determined to shelter them from danger, we come to one of the most controversial and gut-wrenchingly depressing sequences of the entire Season. As previously mentioned, no one is exempt from death in this game. Not even children. Admittedly, I had a cold feeling that Duck was screwed the moment writers had him warming up to Lee, acting as the Robin to his Batman-like traitor seeking sleuthing. His naivety and innocence as a child only wanting to help began shining through. It€™s a segment that changed many people€™s original perception of him from Kenny€™s bratty annoying kid, to someone you could care for. And then he gets bitten. You are also left with one of the cruelest decisions in the game; force Kenny to kill his own child or end the misery yourself. It€™s a twisted world, and the unbearable pain causes Katjaa (Kenny€™s wife) to commit suicide. This is without a doubt that moment in the Season where we all questioned how much more sadness we could take. In the blink of an eye, you can lose everything in the world you live for. Powerful stuff.
