9. Maiden Astraea And Garl Vinland
There is a LOT to unpack with this pair.
Firstly the design of maiden fair with her burly protector is a great combo, plus it doesn't lead to a two on one battle that many might expect. Now don't get me wrong this is definitely a handicap match, but it's actually the team of Garl and THE ENTIRE WORLD ITSELF that look to batter the piss out of you.
Garl is no pushover with his ability to absolutely have your pants down with his parrying, and his ability to heal himself, but this is nothing to the ever deadly SWAMP PLAGUE which acts as a precursor to the "fan favorite" Toxic status.
Just what you want when an angry tin pot fool is having a wail on you. POISON. MMM. SIGN ME UP.
Still, great boss battle with the surprising end of the Maiden killing herself once you've kicked Vin's Shins in.
