What Your Favourite Super Mario Bros Game Says About You

Super Mario Bros 2

Frog_suit_mario_largeThe Game: The game was originally intended to be a Mario game. Then it was released in Japan as Doki Doki Panic without Mario included. Then Nintendo of America decided that the game released as Super Mario Bros 2 in Japan was too hard and similar to the first game so they re-worked Doki Doki Panic into being Super Mario Bros 2. Then when the game was well received by western audiences Japanese gamers wanted it too so it was released as Super Mario USA. No matter how many times I proof read this, it will always be confusing. Whatever the original intention was this game introduced a slew of ideas that would become standard to the Mario series. This was the first game where Luigi was taller than Mario. It also gave the gang the ability to pick up items, and most significantly this allowed Mario to scroll in more than one direction which would give the games a greater sense of exploration as you could now retrace your steps and find hidden coins and power ups you may have missed the first time around. What It Says About You: You€™re a person who likes a good idea where ever it came from. Yes this may not be the most pure Mario, but you just find it annoying that that€™s the only thing that people mention about the game in lists such as these. €œFor goodness sake the game is great.€ You cry. €œJust accept it and shut up whilst I play it on my Game Boy Advance.€ Soundbite: €œI like playing a Peach because she can float!€ Favourite Non Mario Game: Zelda 2 The Adventure of Link
