What Your Favourite Super Mario Bros Game Says About You

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games

Mario-Sonic2The Game: Ladies put up your umbrellas cause it€™s raining hog turds tonight! Yes you bet your ass that those pigs are flying and later will be skating over the rivers of hell. It finally happened. The two biggest gaming rivals of all time, Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Mario finally teamed up for the battle of supremacy that geeks worldwide have been dreaming of ever since the blue blur first hit the Mega Drive and made Sega fans believe that there was hope for a world without Mario. The bad news was that unlike the platform adventure team up we were (and still are) hoping for we instead had no choice but to accept that the only way this pair would be starring alongside each other would be in a series of sporting sims. The games are fun enough and are definitely of the Wii generation of games suited to the waggle and point controls of the Wii remote, but it has to be said that the games don€™t live up to either the Mario of Sonic games by a long, long way. Take away the stars and you are left with a deeply average sports game which is lacking of the usual wacky elements form Mario€™s other sporting games. Yes there are some select silly fun events, but these are few over all. What It Says About You: You don€™t care that this isn€™t a great game. What you care about is one of the biggest questions in the universe finally getting answered. Never mind about the God particle and what came first the chicken or the egg, you have one question and that is who would win out of Sonic and Mario? You have studied the characters, the stats and you are working on your thesis that explains your theories. The evidence you gather from this game is the most vital to your research so you will be play the single player well into the night and then rope all your friends in for another round even though the Olympics are over for another four years and everyone else has given up caring. Mobot? Nah, they€™d rather have Rob the NES Robot.Sound bite: €œAt long last Sonic will beat that short, slow...wait how come Sonic isn€™t winning the 100 metres easily?€Favourite Non Mario Games: Sonic & Knuckles, Streets of Rage, Ecco The Dolphin
