3. Yarn Yoshi
After 15 years, Yoshi is once again starring in his own game. From Good-Feel games, the newest adventure of Mario's trusty steed will resemble the last game from the developer, Kirby's Epic Yarn. Yoshi, like his malleable pink predecessor will now be made out of yarn and fabric. Following both the style of Epic Yarn and Yoshi's Story for the Nintendo 64, the world in Yoshi's new game will be made entirely of materials that would be found in a craft store. Little of this game has been shown, but given the team's pedigree, you should expect a very well crafted experience. More information about "Yarn Yoshi" should be released come E3.
Why It's Exciting... The previous two games from Good-Feel have both had very unique and creative art styles. Kirby: Epic Yarn, with its pre-school art project aesthetic, and Wario Land: Shake It! with its tremendously animated, hand-drawn graphics were both very well received. Not only were they beautiful, but the level design of the games is some of the most fun and interesting of the genre. No doubt the same level of polish will be put into the new project. Little is known about it as of yet, but the end product should be a real gem on the console in the next year or two.
