Wii U: 7 Reasons It's Already Won The Next-Gen Battle

4. A Brand New Gaming Experience

Gaming as a whole has been in a state of limbo for the last year or so. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the current crop of titles and cannot wait for Halo 4 and The Last Of Us but it's all been done before. I want something new. Graphics are of no real concern to me because if a game isn't fun, I just won't play it. Game play will always win. Nintendo have the opportunity to create a new gaming experience, similar to what they achieved with the Wii. The Game pad opens up a world of possibilities. The NFC reader/writer offers developers a brand new innovative way of interacting with not only video games, but entertainment. Imagine what Hideo Kojima could create for a new Metal Gear Solid? Imagine solving a puzzle in Zelda by writing notes and drawing your own map, then uploading them to your friend who can't figure it out. Even cooler, what if developers introduced 2 player synchronisation. What about getting a Blackbird online in Black Ops 2 and when you call it in, the Game pad links in instantaneously. Instead of enemies showing on your map, your friend becomes your eyes in the skies, providing a tactical advantage while you run and gun. The potential of new experiences will only be limited to a developers imagination.
