Wii U: 8 Reasons It's A Failure

6. Terrible Games Library

It borders on insanity that Nintendo thought it worth releasing the Wii U without a decent games library; as it stands the library largely consists of ports from other platforms and games that are already on the market. Even Wii U owners won't be blinded by purchase justification, and can surely recognise the lack of a so-called "killer app" for the platform. If Nintendo wants to regain momentum, they need to get the ball rolling on a huge marketing campaign for the new Zelda or Mario games as soon as possible. As it stands, I can't name a single Wii U game I even want to play; those interesting gimmicky launch titles such as Zombi-U have, like the early Wii titles, received mixed responses from the gaming press. It's not too late for Nintendo to correct themselves, but they need to make 2013 count, or the Wii U will simply become lost in the shuffle amid the surely more enticing offerings of their competitors.
