Wii U: 8 Reasons It's A Failure

2. The Rayman Debacle

After I had a hearty laugh, I had to feel sorry for Wii U owners, because this is really just a giant kick in the gonads. Rayman Legends was one of the most impressive looking Wii U titles shown at last year's E3, and was dated for a November 2012 release. However, it ended up being delayed until February of this year, before it was announced recently that the game was not going to hit shores until September. Why is this? Oh, because the game, which was supposed to be an exclusive for the Wii U, is now being developed for the PS3 and 360 too, and they need the extra time for a simultaneous release. Gamers the world over raged at Ubisoft, especially given that the Nintendo version was already completed, yet for some asinine reason, Nintendo couldn't convince them to release it on the Wii U first as a time-window exclusive. Even the developers working on the game and creator Michael Ancel expressed disgust at the move, while Ubisoft have gone dark from their social media presence, presumably because there's nothing they can say to improve this situation. So, one of the Wii U's most anticipated games won't release until the PS4 and 720 are almost with us? Great thinking...
