6. Xenoblade Chronicles X

Nintendo haters can berate the Wii U's visual oomph (or lack thereof) as much as they like, games like these prove that the console is more than capable of providing top-class eye candy. Xenoblade Chronicles X may already be out in Japan, but us lowly Westerners have had to wait an agonisingly-long eight extra months to get our hands on the hotly-anticipated JRPG from Monolith Soft. Thanks to the staggered release dates and several delays, there's already an outrageous amount of gameplay footage available on YouTube - making the wait even more painful. The bright side though, is that we already know that Xenoblade Chronicles is going to be terrific. Seamlessly blending on-foot exploration and combat with the ability to suit-up in a colossal mech of destruction for some overkill provides everything the human brain needs to release copious amounts of dopamine. The Wii U has been screaming out for an RPG with substance ever since its début and come December, it'll have one. Just three more months of abstaining from YouTube spoilers to go...
